TASK 5: DATABASE
What database did you find most helpful? Which one is the most relevant
for your industry? What is the most interesting fact that you have found about
the industry? What are the most influential factors currently in the industry
and how will those affect your entrance to the industry?
There are many databases or search engines which we can gather enough information about the subject we want the information about or just anything and everything. For me I get all the information from Google, like people say if you don’t know anything just Google it and that is what I do and I guess most of us do. This time I took help from the databases such as Google, Yahoo, and Wikipedia for finding out the enough information on the industry i.e the Social Service industry that I have chosen to be a part in the near future. The most interesting fact that I found out about my chosen industry is that there are more than 50000 NGOs and INGOs in our country and among them 27018 are already registered in the Social Welfare Council. It states that many donors are interested on uplifting the living standard of Nepalese people. But if we analyze the current situation not only the donor but the youths, the corporate people are also coming in front for the betterment of the deprived people of our nation by many voluntary works. Like we say hand in hand together we can, while serving we should not think of any benefits.
The word service means helping and not wanting anything in return. So the motive of social service industry is not to make profits or work in maximizing the profit but is to help the needy one It server the people without any expectation and uplifts them, takes needy people out of the darkness and leads them to the way of brightness. unlike other industry it do not have any competitors but alike other industry it do have the influential factor. Its threats can be considered as the influential factors such as lack of cooperation from outsiders, sustainability problem due to lack of funding, unstable government, their issues, timely changing laws, political instability. Besides all these influences the country’s political condition plays a vital role for the smooth running of the organization.
